Who’s YOUR superhero?
June 22, 2018, 3 – 5 p.m.
Taller Puertorriqueno, 2600 N. 5th St, Philadelphia
Envisioned by Aida Villanueva, “Who’s YOUR Superhero?”, will connect participant’s cultural backgrounds with their chosen superpowers. Individuals will describe their superpowers and cultural history to local artists charged with illustrating the perfect combination of both worlds – whether it’s realistic or abstract is up to them.
From Aida, “Being Latina, and growing up with a limited amount of role models to look up to, its tempting for me to want to have these hero’s created that the children can idolize or identify as. Of all these things, I can only hope to bring people of all kinds of aspects of life together, and inspire kids to dream.”
So, who’s YOUR superhero? Find out on Friday, June 22nd from 3-5 pm at Taller Puertorriqueno and participate in this once in a lifetime experience.
